Fundraising Through Knitting:
Sharon’s Heartfelt Craft for a Cause

At The Silent Bleed, we are constantly humbled by the kindness and creativity of our supporters—but every so often, someone truly stitches themselves into the heart of our community. One such person is Sharon Lee, whose needles have been clicking away with love, purpose, and dedication.
Sharon has turned her passion for knitting into a beautiful act of giving, creating handmade items and offering them in exchange for donations to support those living with superficial siderosis. Instead of setting a fixed price, she simply suggests a £5 minimum donation—though many are so touched by her work and her cause that they often give more.
What makes this even more special? Sharon provides the wool herself, ensuring that every single penny raised goes directly to The Silent Bleed. It’s generosity like this—quiet, thoughtful, and self-initiated—that leaves a lasting impact.
“I love knitting,” Sharon told us, “so doing something I love, while raising money for TSB, is a good feeling.”
We couldn’t be more grateful for Sharon’s efforts. Her hands have created more than just scarves, hats, and cozy comforts—they’ve woven a powerful message of hope, love, and support for a community that often feels invisible.
Take a look below at just a small sample of the beautiful items Sharon has created. Every stitch carries care, and every donation brings us one step closer to helping those affected by superficial siderosis.
Thank you, Sharon. You are a true thread of strength in our story.

NOTE: when placing an order for any of the knitted items, payment for postage is

to be added to your order. Thank you.
